What Makes Our Reports Different
1. Not a Series of Checkboxes
The Salty Inspector uses a modern hybrid report. We do not feel that a series of check boxes and different colored text accurately and easily conveys the description of the condition, our report lists the items checked and their condition. When we find that more detailed information would be appropriate, we present our findings / comments in a narrative that is easy for our client to understand.
2. Separate Detail Sections for Individual Rooms & Components
The Salty Inspector’s reports include a section and heading for each bedroom and bathroom and components within each room ALONG WITH OVERVIEW PHOTOS. The Salty Inspector doesn’t feel that a broad overview of the “interior” of the home provides the level of detail that our inspection entails, and we want our clients to understand the detail and depth or
our inspection. And, we provide overview photos of the specific room, to remind our client which about which room the report is referring.
3. No Flipping Back and Forth from the Description to the Photos Page
The Salty Inspector includes as many photos as appropriate to assist in the description of the condition of concern, and our photos appear just under the narrative description of the condition. With The Salty Inspector’s reports, there is no need to flip back and forth between a description of the condition and photos page. Our photos are adjacent to the narrative and easy to locate.
4. Two Reports Instead of Just One
The Salty Inspector provides two reports, to make discerning of the information easy. The full, Inspection Report includes all the conditions of the inspection report; letting our client know exactly what was inspected and the condition at the time of inspection. We then compile all the conditions that we determined to be “Needs Service or Specialist Review” and / or “Health and Safety Concern” into the Report Summary which is presented as the first section of the full Inspection Report. The Report Summary is available as a separate document, or conveniently included at the beginning of the complete Inspection Report.
5. A Summary Report that Stands Alone
The Salty Inspector’s Report Summary is the executive summary of our inspection, that can be used by professionals and tradesmen in the further evaluation and correction of deficient conditions. The Report Summary is designed to stand alone, for that purpose and clearly identifies the location, orientation and includes photographs.
6. Photo Documentation of Manufacturers’ Labels
The Salty Inspector also photo documents the manufacturers labels of the major mechanical appliances within the home, such as water heaters and HVAC equipment, so if there is the need to contact a repair person or warranty provider in the future, our clients have easy access to the Manufacturer information, including the size, model, serial number, and age of the appliance.
